TECHNOLOGY WE USE

Shou Sugi Ban is an old technology of wood charring originating from Japan. To illustrate, this natural and ecological charring process not only protects wood from mould, insects, and the impact of fire, it also reveals the specific texture and pattern of each tree. Briefly, when the wood is charred and cooled, then it is time to clean off an accumulated thin layer of carbon and oil wood with natural oil. Most importantly, due to the unique and never-recurring texture of wood, the results of such processing exceed the expectations, because it is impossible to find two identical trees in the world.

Furthermore, in Japan, Yakisugi  technology is traditionally used when charring cedars. However, in the Western countries, architects choose more common and easily available kinds of trees, i.e. larches, firs, or pines. When decorating your own home, proper mastering of wood charring technology helps to both apply produced products aesthetically and tastefully and to save money. Finally, since it is easy to maintain, charred wood will serve for years and please you with an exclusive appearance
